The confusion that existed in the aftermath of WWI at the global and regional level made a new world order necessary. Tsarist Russia having come to an end led to the statism of Azerbaijan, which had been covered up by the Russian Empire to blossom once more. Azerbaijani étatism surfaced once more on May 28th 1918 under the name Azerbaijan People's Republic. Although the history of Azerbaijani diplomacy, in keeping with that of the states mentioned above, stretches back centuries, in the modern sense considered as a nation state, its history begins with the founding of the Azerbaijan People's Republic. At the time, Azerbaijani diplomacy faced many tough tasks and numerous problems it had to solve.
The foreign ministers of Azerbaijan and Armenian held another meeting in Washington, mediated by the co-chairs of the OSCE Minsk Group. The meeting grabbed the media spotlight. But the Armenian side distorted some details of the meeting. Yerevan appears to be losing the sense of logic behind its position. It ether distorts the Azerbaijani side`s views, or invents different lies. Armenia is trying to perpetuate the status quo rather than withdrawing from Azerbaijan`s occupied lands. All these efforts, of course, are doomed to failure. Sooner or later the occupying forces will be expelled from the Azerbaijani lands. This article will highlight the Washington meeting from this perspective.
Armenia's position blurred the progress for the Nagorno-Karabakh conflict and leads to an escalation
The conflict between two South Caucasus countries – Armenia and Azerbaijan over the Nagorno-Karabakh became as one of the bloodiest and long-lasting conflicts contributing to instability in the region. After a ceasefire agreement signed in 1994 halting the armed skirmishes in the Nagorno-Karabakh conflict zone, Armenia and Azerbaijan pursued, albeit a fragile, diplomatic negotiations to reach a peaceful end to this bloody conflict.
European integration has been transformed into neo-liberal project when the economic crisis and global competition were strengthened starting from 1970s. There were other important occurrences which caused a shift in economic model, like 1973 oil price hike, 1975 U.S. defeat in Vietnam, halt in Bretton Woods System in 1971. After Keynesianism, rising social responsibilities of states and caring the class which consumes without producing also accelerated unavoidable economic shift.
The place and role of every nation in history is conditioned by the extraordinary mission of a great personality who took responsibility under difficult political circumstances to play an indispensable role in its fate, and laid the foundations of firm statehood traditions with his progressive ideas, unique governance qualities, wisdom and vision. Sent by God, these chosen personalities establish the optimum state model and create political succession traditions based on their nation`s statehood ideology, political principles and national values. For Russians such a personality is Peter the First, for Americans it is George Washington, for Brits it is Winston Churchill, for French it is Charles de Gaulle, for Germans it is Otto von Bismarck, for Chinese it is Mao Zedong, for Turks it is Mustafa Kemal Ataturk. And for Azerbaijanis it is Heydar Aliyev!

We have seen many biased and partial reports made by several Western organizations. Some of them address human rights. In particular, we possess enough evidence of "objectivity" of The Freedom House. But the 2019 "report" and freedom of the press "ranking" released by this organization, which serves the Armenian lobby`s interests, is quite ridiculous. The reason is that it even contradicts the opinions of the Western politicians. While Western states point out election rigging, corruption, human rights violations in Armenia, The Freedom House considers the country as "partly free". At the same time, the organization remains committed to its double-standard approach to Azerbaijan. What a hypocrisy, injustice, lie and falsification! Interestingly, in the geopolitical region that claims to be the cradle of democracy, some are stubborn as donkeys. They do not want to understand a simple thing: whoever digs a pit will fall into it. In addition, such a behavior damages these organizations` image among societies. On the contrary, societies regard them as the source of injustice. And who loses strategically? In this article, we will answer this question.

The recent parliament elections in Armenia havecaused widespread pessimism among experts about the political future of the country. They believe that Armenia is facing very serious problems. Even its diaspora organizations and patron states have provided little support in recent years. Pro-Armenian forces seem to demand that Armenia be independent as a state and develop using its internal potential. But in reality official Yerevan is not capable of doing it. There are a number of internal and external reasons behind this. In fact, there hasn`t been any state building process in Armenia. This country exists due to external donations. This has led to a deep crisis in Armenia. In addition, one of the most painful blows to the country is its isolation from regional projects. And the main reason behind this is that Armenia still continues to occupy Azerbaijan`s lands. Even if Armenia puts forward an ideal development plan, it will not be able to achieve progress unless it withdraws from Azerbaijan`s occupied territories. This article will try to throw light on this issue.
Those who protect and support the aggressor Armenia are trying to step up their efforts. It has recently been evidenced by the visit of Bako Saakhyan, a terrorist with the blood of innocent people on his hands, to France. The French President speaks of cooperation with Azerbaijan on the one hand, but attends a Francophonie summit in Yerevan on the other. But he does not come to Baku. In Yerevan, Emmanuel Macron called Armenians "our fellow countrymen". Then he claimed that the Nagorno-Karabakh conflict should be solved fairly through peaceful means. But this charade was over when the Armenian terrorist visited France. That visit demonstrated that one of the OSCE Minsk Group co-chair countries is helping those who committed crimes in Nagorno-Karabakh. It raises questions: Does Nikol Pashinyan receive "NKR representatives should also participate in the negotiations" instructions from abroad? Aren`t certain forces interested in protracting the conflict resolution? In this article we will try to find answers to these questions.
What peace could mean for the South Caucasus
The South Caucasus is a region historically known for its instability, largely because it has stood at the intersection of the zones of influence of first Byzantium and Iran, then the Ottoman Empire and Iran, and finally between Russia, Iran and Turkey.
