Baku, 18 October 2016 – Newtimes.az
October 18 of this year marks the 25th anniversary of the restoration of state independence of the Republic of Azerbaijan. A series of events are being held across the country to celebrate the occasion, with everyone trying to make his own contribution to the celebrations.
One of the most valuable of these contributions is a collection of articles titled ''25 years of independent Azerbaijan through the eyes of ambassadors''.
The idea to publish the book was put forward by deputy head of the Presidential Administration of the Republic of Azerbaijan, head of the Department of Foreign Relations, ambassador Novruz Mammadov. Compiled by the Department of Foreign Relations, the collection was published by the Center for Strategic Studies under the President of the Republic of Azerbaijan.
The introduction to the book is written by Novruz Mammadov. The collection features articles, in Azerbaijani and English languages, by ambassadors extraordinary and plenipotentiary of 49 countries accredited to the Republic of Azerbaijan and heads of Baku offices of the UN, EU, TurkPA and other international organizations. The articles highlight 25 years of these countries` and organizations` ties with Azerbaijan, analyze the accomplishments and outline prospects of relations.
The collection provides an insight into Azerbaijan`s foreign policy and bilateral relations, the challenges faced and strides made by the country in the years of independence as well as its development prospects.
Given the value of the book, newtimes.az decided to publish one article per day from this collection in the newly launched ''Diplomatic Chapter'' of the website.
Dear Azerbaijan, congratulations on the 25th anniversary of restoration of state independence!
