'Holding a second referendum on the independence of Nagorno-Karabakh is unacceptable for the Armenian side.' According to Arminfo, this in an interview with reporters said Vice-Speaker of the Armenian Parliament Hermine Naghdalyan.

At the same time, Naghdalyan assured that the Armenian side does not claim the 'five occupied territories surrounding Nagorno-Karabakh.'

'As soon as the world recognises Karabakh, we will return the lands, to which we have no right, we do not want these lands: it's just our buffer zone, the guarantor of our security,' said Naghdalyan.

Vice-speaker of the Armenian Parliament openly acknowledged that Armenia occupied Azerbaijani territory and it has no right to them. This statement by the vice-speaker caused an uproar in the Armenian society, and Karabakh separatists accused her of defeatism. Moreover, Armenian political leaders demand to consider the question of non-compliance of Hermine Naghdalyan with her position.
